Agriculture is central to the economy of our town. From time immemorial our people engage in agriculture for the production of food crops and cash crops. However palm tree for palm oil and kernel processing feature prominently in Ekusa land. With the passage of time, the limitations imposed on cash crop farming by the size of available land, made many of the indigenes of the town to purchase parcels of land in other parts of the South West of Nigeria, specifically in villages and towns that are now in Ekiti and Ondo states, for the planting of cocoa and cola nuts.
