THE RALLYING POINT FOR PROGRESS

EKUSA DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (E.D.A.) is established for the purpose of mobilizing all residents of Ekusa, indigenes and non-indigenes, for full and effective participation in all activities aimed at bringing about the development and progress of Ekusa Community. Consequently, the primary assignment of the Association is to midwife the strategy for an all-round development of the entire Ekusa Community through popular consultation, policy formulation, decision-making and project execution. Membership of the Association is open to all residents of Ekusa town who are expected to attend the monthly meeting of the Association. The monthly meeting is the platform for democratic decision-making and fundraising for projects. The Executive arm of the Association employs team work in the implementation of all decisions agreed upon at the general meetings. The Executive arm also coordinates the activities of the standing and single-term Committees that will be set up. The Executive arm convenes and presides over the.general meetings. Current Members of the EDA Executive: Elder Adebowale Isaac Oyedele (Chairman), Chief Olusola Afolayan (Vice Chairman), Mr. Ajibade Okunoye (Ag. Secretary 1), Mr. Adenle Afolayan (Treasurer), Mr. G. Remi Adetoyi (Financial Sec 1) Mr. Samuel I. Olawale (Auditor).

Cocoa is also an important cash crop planted by indigenes of Ekusa on local farmlands and on lands acquired outside the community
